1. Introduction

Discovery Tours Egypt is an IATA-accredited and ETAA Class-A licensed Destination Management Company (License No. 718).

Registered office: 12 El Obour St., Saleh Salam, Cairo, Egypt.

All tours, cruises, and travel arrangements are offered subject to these Terms & Conditions. When you confirm a booking with us by email, phone, WhatsApp, website form, or payment, you accept these terms on behalf of all travelers in your booking.

2. Booking Process

You may book through our website, by email at info@discoverytoursegypt.com, or via your travel consultant.

The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of all participants.

To confirm a reservation we require full passport names, nationality, date of birth, passport number and expiry, arrival/departure details, and contact information.

Once received, our operations team will issue a Booking Confirmation with itinerary, hotel/cruise details, and payment schedule.

3. Deposits & Payments

• 25% deposit for standard tours.
• 50% deposit for high season (Christmas, New Year, Easter) and bookings including domestic flights or train tickets.
• Balance due 30 days before arrival, unless otherwise stated on invoice.

Accepted methods: secure payment link (Visa/MasterCard), bank transfer, or Western Union. Card payments may incur a 3% processing fee.

4. Pricing Policy

Prices are quoted per person in USD and based on double occupancy unless stated otherwise.

Website rates are guide prices; final pricing depends on season, availability, and passenger count.

Confirmed quotes include taxes, service charges, specified accommodations, transfers, entrance fees, and licensed guide services. Prices are fixed once deposit is received and booking is confirmed.

5. Cancellations by Traveler

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by the booking holder.

Peak season penalties may be higher. Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 30 days after written confirmation.

6. Cancellations by the Company

In rare cases we may cancel due to force majeure, minimum participant thresholds, or supplier/airline disruption. You will receive either a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. We are not liable for external costs such as international airline penalties.

7. Amendments & Itinerary Changes

Reasonable changes may be requested before or during travel and may involve additional costs. If we must amend for safety or operations, we provide equivalent or upgraded alternatives at no extra charge.

8. Passports, Visas & Health

Travelers are responsible for passports valid at least 6 months beyond departure date and for visa compliance. Most nationalities can apply via visa on arrival or e-Visa at visa2egypt.gov.eg. We are not responsible for denied entry due to incomplete documentation.

9. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and baggage/personal belongings. Discovery Tours Egypt is not liable for uninsured events.

10. Accommodation

Hotel/cruise categories follow Egyptian tourism standards (3-star to 5-star Deluxe). Check-in/out is generally 14:00/12:00 for hotels and around 12:00/08:00 for Nile cruises. Preferred properties are subject to availability; equivalent or higher alternatives may be confirmed.

11. Transportation & Domestic Flights

Domestic carriers may include EgyptAir, Nile Air, Air Cairo, and Fly Egypt. Standard allowance is 23 kg checked plus 7 kg cabin baggage. Extra baggage fees are payable directly to the airline. We assist with disruptions but are not responsible for airline/weather/ATC delays.

12. Tour Inclusions & Exclusions

Included: accommodation and breakfast (or specified meals), itinerary transfers, entrance fees, licensed Egyptologist guiding, service charges, and local taxes.

Not included: international flights, visa fees, insurance, personal expenses, tipping, optional excursions, and unspecified drinks/meals.

13. Special Requests & Accessibility

Inform us at booking about dietary, mobility, or special assistance requirements. We will support requests subject to availability and supplier capability. Some historic sites may not be fully wheelchair accessible.

14. Force Majeure

We do not accept liability or compensation for circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, epidemics, airline strikes, or governmental action. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption.

15. Traveler Conduct

Guests must respect Egyptian laws, customs, and culture. We may terminate services without refund if traveler conduct causes danger, damage, or severe disruption. Damages caused by travelers are payable directly to the provider.

16. Liability & Responsibility

Discovery Tours Egypt acts as an intermediary between travelers and third-party providers (airlines, hotels, cruises, transport companies). Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the affected service.

17. Complaints & Service Issues

Issues must be reported immediately to local representatives so we can resolve them on the spot. For unresolved matters, contact info@discoverytoursegypt.com within 14 days of return.

18. Photography & Marketing

Guides or representatives may capture photos/videos for promotional use. We request verbal consent before use. If you prefer not to appear, inform your guide at tour start.

19. Intellectual Property

All content on discoverytoursegypt.com, including text, design, photos, logos, and media, is the intellectual property of Discovery Tours Egypt and protected by copyright law.

20. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Egyptian law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
